Desesparados is a strategy game where you have to manage a group of unemployed workers trying to find a job in the unemployment line. It's a game with an element of social critique about a very serious problem in contemporary Spain.
The game is divided into three main screens. In the first you'll see your workers in the unemployment line, waiting their turn to go inside the INEM (National Employment Institute). If you tap any of them you can get info about their skills and interests.
The second screen in Desesparados is the most important, as it's the one that lets you assign jobs and training courses to the characters. You have to take into account their skills and experience, as well as the requirements for each position. If you assign posts to workers without the required skills, you'll see how they are refused jobs on the third screen.
Desesparados is a good strategy game that uses an interesting gameplay to address a really important subject. Unemployment is a very serious issue in Spain right now, and this game manages to highlight it while still adding a comic element.
